Alaves - Real Madrid

Sacking coach and their complete staff didn't help much to players of Alaves since they have suffered yet another defeat, this time on Wednesday evening against Deportivo La Coruna away from home with a narrow 1:0 result. Only goal was scored just before the halftime whistle by Luisinho and it should be said that the game pretty much reminded of other Alaves' matches this season.
The game itself was quite a defensive one, with neither of the teams risking a lot, while the players of Alaves had less of the ball possession but managed to threaten at few occassions. However, once again they couldn't score which is now their fifth game without a goal scored since the start as they continue to share the last position with Malaga with zero points, but now as the only side that didn't score a single goal in the season.
Central defender Victor Laguardia (no performance so far) remains injured for long time, while the hosts also miss left back Hector Hernandez (1/0), forward Bojan (2/0) and other forward, Munir El Haddadi (3/0) struggles with injury as well and remains doubtful.
Real Madrid, as said few times, have opened the new season in the best possible way, since the team managed to take Spanish Super Cup finals with a victory in two legs over Barcelona and also have won the European Super Cup with a victory over Manchester United in Skopje back in August, however the side have already made few setbacks in LaLiga.
They firstly had consecutive draws against Valencia and Levante at home, but then bounced back with a victory over Real Sociedad last weekend, however once again suffered negative result in front of own fans - this time against Real Betis on Wednesday evening when the team from Madrid got defeated narrowly with a 1:0 result at home. As usual, they had much more of the ball possession and chances created, but the goal is what counted and the guests managed to score it against the flow of the game, in fourth minute of additional time via Sanabria when the players of Real attacked a lot and risked even more.
Marco Asensio is set to start in the midfield for this one, as the guests continue to miss striker Karim Benzema (3/0), midfielders Mateo Kovacic (2/0) and Toni Kross (4/1), as well as left backs Theo Hernandez (2/0) and Marcelo (4/0), with Nacho probably being deployed as left back in this one.
- Real Madrid have scored at least 3 goals in their last 7 matches against Alaves.
Alaves have lost opening five matches in LaLiga and didn't look much better even when they sacked the coach. Real Madrid is fired up to bounce back with a victory after surprising defeat at home against Betis and I have no doubts that the visiting players will be up to the task in this one.
